Pentatonix Birmingham reviews
1st Time
This was our first time to anything at Rupp Arena. It will probably be our last. To start with the streets coming to the parking area (which was not identified until we made the last turn) were a mess. People were passing us on the left and then cutting in line down the road further. Then, after we turned the corner onto High St, we saw another street entering directly into the area we needed to go for parking. After we got in the arena, we found our seats were typical basketball style (not sure what we expected) and we were crowded next to each other, with peoples knees poking us in the back. The entire night, people were crawling over us and knocking us around. When the show started, we found out that the only video screens being used were ones that were beside the stage, at the far end of the arena from us. We knew when we bought our tickets (whose price was very reasonable) that we were at the opposite end from the stage; but we figured there would be video screens around the arena (like every other event we have attended)which could help us see the performers. I was totally surprised that you didn't even project the show at least on the scoreboard in the center. Pentatonix and their show was awesome (what we could see of it). Maybe the tickets were reasonable because of the arena. We won't spend high $ to get seats near the stage or on the floor; but we would have spent more knowing that there would be screens throughout the arena to let us see the show. Based on our experience, we probably will never attend another event at Rupp!
